Workers for the Harvest

Exodus 4:10-11 (NIV)
Moses said to the LORD, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD?”

All Christians, without exception, have been adopted into the family of God in order to continue with the family business. What is that business?

It is telling other people the Good news of the nearness of the kingdom (the kingship) of God.

It is almost always a mistake to recruit only eloquent, outgoing chatterboxes for mission or for direct evangelism. In honour to God, we should be seeking out ordinary Christians — that is mostly what we have anyway on our pews.

We must teach them about the kingdom, value them and appoint them as ambassadors of Christ’s kingdom.

We run a Teach a teacher programme, a group of individual tutorials, which will get you into harvesting for the kingdom. Check it out!
